FAQs

Buying a hot tub is a big decision in any household, we pride ourselves on selling each and every customer the right hot tub for their needs. We have over 30 years combined experience in the industry, there is not much we don't know... that's why you are in safe hands when dealing with us. Below are a list of the most common questions we get asked.

Our hot tubs require a concrete level base with a minimum depth of 75 mm. A level base is imperative as unlevelled bases may lead to faster wear and tear.

No! All our hot tubs have a built in heater and filtration system, you leave the water in for up to four months. Simply fill the hot tub spa with a garden hose and drain it when necessary. However you will need a suitable electrical supply to the hot tub.

Usually either 13 or 32 Amps, depending on the model of your hot tub.

We recommend draining and cleaning your portable hot tubs no more than 3 or 4 times per year, depending on how frequently you use it and how well you maintain your water. In most cases this simple process will only take about an hour to accomplish.

Most people change the water in their hot tub every 3 to 6 months, depending on variables like the number of users, frequency of use, and type of sanitizing system, and so on.

Our best advice to customers is to keep your water maintained and keep an eye on your filters from time to time, in case they are getting dirty and need cleaning or replacing.

A typical 5 to 7 person hot tub running all year round will cost in the region of £19 to £28 per month for electricity and around £14 per month for water treatments.

It's like anything new, it can be more nerve racking than difficult for the first couple of weeks and then it is a piece of cake!. Simply take a test strip, dip into the Hot tub and it will then tell you what needs adding, it doesn't take more than a few minutes each day. Our onsite installation team will walk you through the whole process.

This is dependent on usage of the tub and the degree of maintenance to the filter but on average the filter will last for around 6-9 months.

Lots of research tells us its better to to keep the hot tub hot, even when you are not using it, unless you won't be using it for an extended period of time. You may think you will save a lot of energy if you let it cool down, but you will spend hours heating it again, eating up those potential savings of letting the water cool down, It is best to keep the hot tub within a couple of degrees of the temperature you like to use it at.

Yes! Hot tubs can be used all year round. Many of our customers not only use their tub in the winter, but find that winter is their favourite time to get their hot water hydrotherapy. However, if you choose not to use your tub in the winter, please contact our office and we can drain and service your hot tub so its ready for you in spring!

There are various factors that will impact this, including how warm the air around your hot tub is. In general, for every degree you want to heat up the water, you should plan on 30 minutes of heating time. We find turning bubbles / waterfalls off and keeping the cover on can speed heating your hot tub

The hot tub will be delivered by our experienced team, they are laoded onto a spa trolley, and brought to the required position. We have also craned in many hot tubs where access is an issue.
